Battlestations: Pacific Addon/Mod Ideas

This game needs two things: a realism mod, and a mission maker. The realism mod would turn everything to realism. Such as realistic ship gun ranges, bigger maps, historically accurate things like Speed etc. But also, I would love to be able to use a Mission Editor, which is where you could create your own missions with the units in the game, as well as the DLC's. That has an unlimited capacity for fun in my book. And they could also combine the gamemodes of multiplayer into one like you could have Escort within island Capture. The major idea I had was if they would ever make a Successor to Pacific, what better setting than the Atlantic Ocean. I call it Battlestations: Atlantic. You could re-enact the famous Hood vs. Bismarck, as well as other things. But also include something like a Mission Maker, or actual realism for the game. I really hope something like one of these may someday come true. Thanks for reading!

if you go on youtube and search battlestations next it will be a trailer about 7:30 long and it portrays a modern battlestations game. think of how fun that would be, los angeles subs hunting akulas, f22 vs pak fa's and nimitz class carriers vs admiral kuznetsovs. i talked to square enix and they told me that when the bought edios they also bought the rights to the just cause series as well as the battlestations series and he wa pretty sure they were making a just cause 3 but any info besides that they would not say and the guy had no clue about a battlestations game. the main reason why edios and square enix made the battlestation a world war 2 sim is to appeal to the then current market of ww2 games. they should make a modern battlestations because i think it would be a awesome game.

A modern battleship game would be boring. For several reasons.

1.Battleships are not used anymore.
2.Everything is small fast ships with missiles now.
3.Aircraft are fairly useless against modern warships due to their large ammounts of high tech AA.

thats where your wrong during the gulf war a couple of ww2 era battleships were reentered into military service. such as the south dakota. some of the modifications were the addition of tomahawk cruise missile launchers and CIWS defensive weapon systems. and square enix is making a modern battlestations game but the release date is tba. you sir are a non believer in the series and in fact more fans want a modern battlestations game than the ones that dont.

If you are talking about battlestations Next. I am pretty sure it was cancelled due to all the financial trouble Square Enix has been having over the last couple of years. They have cancelled a ton of projects and are staying with safe bets and social mobile card games in japan.

The trailer was from 2010. More than 3 years without a single piece of info on it.

square enix purchased edios and the rights to battlestations and the just cause series. i talked to my buddy who works at square enix and he said they are making a just cause 3 and a new battlestations game. now when they come out he couldnt say. he only knew about the upcoming games.

true they have had troubles but they never let go from the battlestations series. the modern version just got pushed back. i know my friend at square enix very well. he has told me that the game is going to come out but due to the financial troubles recently they needed a bigger budget for the game and therefore it got pushed back. you wont find the answers to this anywhere because this info is just not talked about outside of the studio. i shall not tell you the name of my friend for obvious reasons. if they decide to cancel the game it would be sad but hey, we have pacific and so many other video games that i don't think it would be such a big deal. not really trying to start any argument about this, just seeing how many people can get behind the idea then they would have to do it.
