X-COM Gold Edition (UFO Defense Windows 95/XP) Black Screen
I can get the dos version of this game to run perfectly fine, but for some reason the Gold Edition version of the game won't run. I hear the intro cutscene music, but have a black screen. No response from clicking or hitting any button. Using Windows 8.1. Any ideas on how to get this version of the game to work?

It's not worth running, it's own unique bug with the blaster launcher turns the later game into easymode.

Use the dos version if you don't want to use openxcom.
