as the title says, there is always a black box in front of the video and i can't watch anything, how do i get rid of it? there is no option anywhere

Videos I could previously watch in 3D are now all presented as flat videos. Does anybody else have the same problem?

The app seemed to be decreasingly functional and no longer has a store page in Steam, so it won't be surprising if it's gone. I have an Oculus Rift CV1, but I think my proposed solution should work for other headsets as well. I'd read a couple of articles about how to watch 360 videos in VR and noticed that several of the options mentioned didn't work including DeoVR - suggesting that something has been changing. The Opera browser was mentioned but it seems even they removed their VR Player in 2018. HOWE...

Can someone give me an alternative to this crap program that will play YouTube 3d vr videos? Virtual desktop doesn't work either anymore.
