Hearthfire: No house appears!

I've done this twice now, with the Morthal and Dawnguard sites. I go through the steps of creating and bulding the small house...but nothing ever appears. Glitch? Doing something wrong? REALLY frustrating.

Not a problem I have encountered, although I have had 'issues' since getting the DLC. One of my solutions (assuming it was the solution) was thinning out the mods until the game ran smoothly again. If you are running a lot of mods that is a possible cause of your problems.

I have the same problem, no house appears for me either.

Chakei, do NOT go into Windows 7 and delete everything. That is a troll comment trying to get you to mess up your computer.

i'm getting this issue also. I remove all my mods, created a new save, and played up until i could build the house and I still get no house just the little roped off area where everything is supposed to appear.

Hahaha I was thinking that after I posted the response. So I'm not the only one getting this? That's good to know. No resolution to it yet, huh? Pretty lame.

Yes, no resolution sadly yet alot of people have this problem, it is lame. What a waste of $4.99

There are a few mods that cause this issue because they edit the same world space that the house sits on. Birds and Flocks is a popular one. Anyways, if you started the house and it didn't appear, then do not save, because it will never appear if you don't remove the mod that is causing the conflict first. I tested this with Birds and Flocks before he patched it... Building an invisible house, saving and then removing the mod and the house would still be invisible because it never counted as being built.

Yeah, I'm currently stuck with alot of house problems, it doesnt appear, removed mod conflicts built up the small house in dawnstars hold alright, tried to build the mainhall, not build even with no mods after a clean reinstall, and also some bug where I had to rebuild the smallhouse that was already there... I'm going though a clean char to see if its just my save bugged later but really if it doesnt work, I'm going to seriously contemplate uninstalling hearthfire.

What mods cause this? Im not using birds and flocks. I think the only mod I used relating to animals was SkyTest

Hello :)
An other "mod" which may be cause of this invisible house bug is part of the Skyrim - Director's Cut. In german it is an .esp file called "Eindeutige Regionsnamen" (or "Unique Region Names" in the english version, i think), which changes some names of Skyrim's holds etc. including the locations of the houses.
I disabled it (together with "birds and flocks"), tried to build up the homestead in pale and it worked.
Hopefully this can help someone... :/

I'm not familiar with the concept of it, but I have heard that after disabling or deleting your mods, making a clean save can be a life saver.

i already tried 0 mods clean install and a fresh save and still my house gets no further than the roped off area, but the foundation and everything will never build no matter what.

there is new birds and flock and distant terrain. i updated to those and my houses appear now.

So I've tracked it to it being cause by the Journal entry "Use drafttable to build house" not completing. I thought it was because soemthign wasnt finished on my other house, so i went back and finished up the store room i started but no change.
