Mods !
No wonder my friends would never stop harassing me until I installed mods. Game looks great now. Take a look at some of my Skyrim screenshots.

Only mod I want is more trees! Those patches of nothing in the distance brakes down the immersion.

A fine line must be drawn between beauty and playability. :) I had to remove my grass/shrubs/tree mods in order to get back up to a comfortable 25 fps. Same subject though, I do think that TOO many trees breaks immersion as well. There are lumberyards all over Skyrim and seeing towns completely overgrown is unbelievable to me. I can't even tell what town that is in the screenshot you have... Riverrun with a gate? They have a lumbermill right in town, surely they would have cleared the prime living space - it's what humans do! :)

Unbelievable to me but there are mods for all! To each their own, my friend.

In case you didn't know, console commands for better screenshots:

~
tm = toggle menus (removes HUD)
tfc 1 = toggle free camera and pause (let's you fly the camera around - best used in 3rd person or you will not see yourself. Great for combat shots or better angles on scenery. Use "tfc" to get back into normal camera)
sucsm X = Set user camera speed of movement. X changes speed of the camera movement in "tfc" mode.

And for overall enjoyment of the new sceney - "set timescale to X". 20 is the default, ie 1 minute played is 20 minutes in game. I usually play at 6 but when you just want a long afternoon in the forest of Riften, 1 is great.

Enjoy your new scenery man!

Nice. I couldn't do too many mods myself, and when I wanted some more... heavy modification, I ended up going with the Skyrim Nexus Mod loader. I still browse the workshop for a few mods here and there (The Better Cities one's come to mind), but for ENB lighting overhauls and things of that nature, I handle it another way.

Biggest mods I use are ones to make my game more stable. I use crossfired AMD cards and Skyrim is not a fan. Instead of being more efficient, I actually get less performance with both cards in use. Then, I use a mod that basically plays the game in "Fake Fullscreen Windowed Mode". For some reason that I don't bother to fathom, it plays better in windowed than it does in fullscreen.

Nice screen shots though! Looks pretty dang good. Just get a saturation booster to add a bit more color and you'll be a made... player. lol

Well so far I can hold 60 frames ultra settings 2560x1400p + mods. GTX 780 going strong

Cool I will try that tonight after I watch 'The Reef' on Netflix.
Ya'll could've at least said which mods you used in each screenshot.

That problem lies with your choise of city overhaul mods. It's so full of three's and bushes that as soon as you run out of the city it looks like a barren wasteland.

Try a more subtle one like Detailed Cities.

You misspelled Riverwood or did you mean Riverrun from a Game of Thrones?
