Specs: i7 cpu 3.40ghz
gtx 660 1.5gb
16gb ram
would i be able to run skyrim on ultra with high resolution and get 60fps?

Yes, as long as you are not intending on using an ENB

When i set it on ultra i get a very stuttery 40ish fps do you know what could be causing this?

You may find that knocking shadows down to "high" might sort it with a GTX660.

sounds like an X51. i got the same setup and i get 60fps with all 4k textures and HD armors and CBBE bodys and that one lighting mod that lets you summon a npc that changes the lighting effects

for him on his prob lower shadows might help but he needs to fix this... my settings is maxed to its full and i got no prob. he could have the "more trees" mod maybe? stuff liek that will drag even a GTX770

yes you can use all the mos that you want and you will get 60 fps
i have an fx 8120 8gb ram and radeon 4250 integrated and skyrim runs in middle high with hialgoboost mod

I can't seem to see that explicitly stated anywhere there. However you will usually find that there are limits to everything on the planet :)

Not at all, a mid range pc can do that. The miods that floods the areas with HD trees will run any GPU down if its 2gb or less, ENB's are the worse.

bottlenecking? you mean bottlenecking the GPU? if so, no. your cpu wont even bottleneck a titan. howmany mods you got? and are you using what i said you might be using?

You will need to post what mods you are running, what dlc you have (inc HD packs) and details regarding any texture enhancement packs you have installed. Also have you made any ini changes (uGridstoload is a good one for killing fps).

Right! i forgot about the Ugrid... that one site clamed it will improve fps and make the game look bette rbut it dont.
