Single Handed Weapon Lag

Ok, so I have been trying all day to see if I could fix this problem.
Whenever I attack with a single handed weapon there is a .5 second jump/lag after I stop. or after every second swing.
It seems to only happen with single handed weapons. I can use bows and great swords just fine. It's not my PC, I can run the game on high settings without any problems.
Anyone have any idea what the problem might be?
