Help me stop my Skyrim from crashing!

Alrighty, so I 'just' built a new desktop to play lots of awesome games in my steam library. The problem is, Skyrim keeps crashing, whether it's modded or not.

First off, here are my generall PC specs:
32G of RAM
Intel i7 Processor
2 EVGA GeForce 650 ti Boost SLI GPUs
A Motherboard capable of handling the above and then some.

If you want me to be more specific, I can, but so far every game I've played on here (max settings) is working like a charm. Crysis, Metro 2033, Civ V, etc. They all work fine.

My Skyrim aint.

It keeps crashing. Over and over and over. Usually if I'm outdoors for more than 5 minutes. Sometimes not even 'that' long. I love to explore, and I can't safetly do that without the fear of Skyrim going NOEP. Crash. No error message. No freezing. It's making me admire my desktop a lot more. I should get a new wallpaper...

Anyways!

If any of you smarter people know any tips, tricks, suggestions, or dances I can do to make Skyrim a better experience for me, thaaaaat'd be great~

(PS. GPU drivers are up-to-date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the game at least four or five times, and it's still showing the same symptoms.)

Maybe it's because of SLI configuration? Try running the game with only 1 GPU to see if it works out. :S

Try verifying your game. Library/AllGames/click properties and then click local games and verify integrity of games cache. It will come up that there was a problem with a file and download it. A notice will appear at the bottom of the screen saying it is down loaded. Then run the game again. It could also be a mod that is causing the problem.

@CombatWars I already have both of 'em hooked up with SLI. So far it hasn't seemed to be a problem, but, hey, worth finding out, I guess.

@Jogon I verified it, and it says it did not verify one file, and it said it would download it. I tried doing it again and the same message appears. Any tips?

If it crashes at the loading screen try moving your saved data to another folder. If it still doesn't work I can only recommend reinstalling the game.

@kieron.ottley It crashes when it's playing, usually outdoors for short periods of time. Haven't had much issue loading the game. Thanks, though!
