Does the variety of mods available justify buying the game again?
I have a fairly simple question with some details to hopefully explain it. The question is pretty much in the title, so some details will follow. I bought Skyrim on 360 over a year ago, since then I've played pretty much every character I thought of/had interest in playing as well as most likely done everything within the game on at least one of those characters. I also grew bored of Skyrim because I had done as I stated above, I have no desire to return to playing the console version so that is why I am asking this question in the discussions.

I'm thinking about buying Skyrim on PC once it goes on sale, and again want to know if there are enough mods out there (mainly gameplay enhancing ones and similar) to justify buying the game again and that I will have fun with it once again. Examples of mods and such (descriptions mainly) would help, I won't have the game yet so linking mods would do no good. Help and answers are appreciated, also as a side note...do any of the mods that get recommended require the DLC(s) since I'm not entirely sure I'd buy them again unless mods require them.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

YES.

There are mods that give a whole new level of gaming to your experience. Check out the Steam workshop and nexusmods.com and look for environment immersion mods. Read their instructions before you install anything :)

I've been using mods on Fallout New Vegas so I know the basics of installing, activating, and so on with mods. There are plenty for that game which enhance it so I assumed there would be more then plenty for Skyrim. Doesn't hurt to make sure though. Whenever it pops up on sale, I'll likely get it depending on the price it has.
Buying the Legendary Edition is a very economical way to buy the full bundle (and that is all it really is). I think that yes, there is plenty of replay value with mods.

Some favourites of mine are:

Become a Bard

I'll certainly check some out once I buy it, its just a matter of do I wait for a sale (which is likely to come up since there hasn't been one for a long time and both Morrowind and Oblivion had daily deal spots) or buy it now. On sale I wouldn't doubt its worth it to buy again.
I could not imagine playing Skyrim with out mods. Just check out the work shop; crazy amounts of them. Even more on that Nexus place.

Tons of graphical improvements and a massive amount of armor/weapon/item additions. Many of these are also very very VERY well done...as if they were professionally made and best part is; all for free.

I would have stopped playing Skyrim long ago if not for mods...400 hours, over 90 mods, and counting. I <3 the mod makers out there; your hard work is much appreciated. ;)

p.s. oh and for needing DLCs; most mods are vanilla so no real need to buy the expansions but I suggest you should check them out since it adds more content and that is a good thing. I expect a sale in the future but still just getting dawnguard/dragon born for 40 bucks is not that much all in all; I got my value for them imo. Up to you!

Yes. I bought Skyrim on the PS3 when it first came out built a PC and Skyrim was one of the first games I bought for it. Totally worth it. PC even has an HD Texture patch made by Bethesda, and countless other mods. Also if you have not played any of the DLC you can get it pretty cheap during steam sales as well.

I have played all three DLCs, so I'd only get them when on sale. Thanks for all the answers, I was fairly sure that mods would justify it, but I do like to make sure. Now to await a sale, or if someone would trade though I don't have much to offer xD

Vijla for skyrim has a Dragonborn version that adds extra content if you play it with her.
