Storm clock or Imperial +Theives guild

I just joined the thieves guild and I relly like it, but I was also thinking about joining the Imperials or Stormclocks. I want to join one that makes the most sense please write what you think I should do

I've played both sides. I prefer the Imperials because Ulfric is a Thalmor agent. I despise the Thalmor and kill them on sight.

Maven becomes Jarl of Riften if you join the imperials.

The Jarl that you already see will still be Jarl if you join the Stormclocks.

THE war will still go on if you kill alduin or not, you have to join one of the two sides in order for the war to end.

i knew there was a reason i didn't like that guy , Imperials for the win

When I found that out it was a shock but he is inactive. I also kill Thailmore every chance I get.
But the Imperials protect the Thailmore so are they any better. I am afraid my loyality is only to Jarl Balgruf.

You can just go on to Dawnguard or Dragonborn you could play this game forever or until Elder Scrolls 6 comes out LOL,

this is partially true, but after alduin is dead, they go back to killing each other.

also, i recomend tearing down this thread. these questions have been some of the causes of heated discussion wars that have lasted for days.

she's the only jarl in the game who sits on her throne like she means it , everyone else looks bored and distracted ,

She is also the Jarl that seems most unsure of herself.

*shrug* Neither faction actually has much use for the Thalmor; they differ basically on whether Skyrim should be part of the Empire, and attitudinally. The Imperials don't act as confrontationally because with the balance of forces as the game is the Empire would lose, and they'd rather not yet provoke a war with the Aldmeri Dominion under those terms.

You can side with the Empire and still slaughter all the Thalmor you find, it really doesn't matter. Heck, you can finish the entire Dark Brotherhood quest line and /then/ join the Empire...
