This is a great idea, hopefully when trading cards are out of beta, they will add games like Skyrim.

Yes, that would be a great idea.

I thing this whole "Card-System" is useless without Skyrim !

I really hope they start doing cards for some main stream games. Right now, most of them seem to be going to indie and older games.

They already made cards and badges for it. Just not released yet.

I once read this article about how they are adding Achievements into the workplace. If you punch in on time for a month, you get an achievement. No money, but achievement. This is called gamification. The article then talked about game store achievements and trading cards, and concluded that gamification is spreading to gaming

It's designed to stir kids (their biggest revenue source) into a trading frenzy and become all little trading minions for Valve and rush to buy all games for these ''card drops'' so their LEVEL isn't lower than the next guy's....

Gamification?...More like brainwashing...

All I know about the trading cards is that I get a very minor (but free) refund on some of my games XD. Got l4d2 during the sale and got ~2 dollars back by selling the cards >_<.

Now I'm wondering if I can persuade my friends who don' care 'bout them to gimme theirs :P

Also, I would kinda like to see the Skyrim cards, so i rather hope they come out ^_^ I'll keep them if they're neat lookin'.

Aw...I didn't opt into the cards thing....but heh, I've been asked all sorts already..

It's like my friends have all been replaced by robots... @.@

Hmmm. Good points. I think I'll just put a note at the bottom of my mods that I accept unwanted trading cards, and that it helps me to get new games and would be appreciated >_<;

But that also seems kinda...like begging? Ionno =/. But it's hard to afford new games >_> And the cards do help when sales come around.
