How do I recruit Lydia again..?

I know where Lydia is,she's in my house atm (Breezehome) but when I try talking to her,there's no "Follow me" or "I need your help" or something along those lines..Anyone have a fix,or similar problem?

Do you currently have another follower? You can only have one at a time without mods.

Nope,I don't have any other followers.

Are you currently undertaking a quest with a member of the companions. This automatically cuts Lydia out until you finish the quest.

Did you leave the toilet seat up? Not take out the garbage on collection day?

If fast traveling doesn't cause a missing follower to abruptly appear, you could try waiting three days. After three days time, that follower (now wrestling with abandonment issues) should return home. Or you could turn to the console and use this command:

set playerfollowercount to 0

I've never had to use this, but it's supposed to remove a lost follower.

I have found for your wife or companions, to bring up the dilogue box that you want, you have to click on either the "what does a Jarl do" or whatever is on thier menu. then the diogue box will change. have no idea if this is a bug or not.

No, there are sub-dialogue scripts that are only activated when you start certain threads. I have never had that problem though!

Kill her then type in the console resurrect while pointing @ her body with your mouse click once then type the command it wil work then probably.

Or just type in the console kill after that resurrect.

Go and complain to the Jarl that she has gone on strike. Are you paying her the award rates?

TRY THIS .... hit tilder ~ click lydia so it shows her number "000somthing" type disble
then close and reopen the console and type "enable"
... Lydias number should still be highlighted if u dont click anything while u do this.
to make sure save b4 u try it and write down her number when u click on her.
When lydia respaws the program should start her scrip as intended.
