ENBs, Retexture Overhaul and Offical HD DLC.
Hey guys Just wondering about something.
I have the offical HD texturepack for Skyrim enabled but I also have the 2K Texture mods and a ENB. Does the offical HD DLC need to be deactivated or does it get over written?

If you load the Official HD Texture Pack first and then 2K Texture's, I believe that 2K will override any changes made by the official mod.

Or it could be the other way around. *shrugs*

Hmm ok thanks.

individual files will always go last in the load order, since it is a .bsa file the individual file from the texture pack will override any files it can.

BTW: why didn't you get the Texture Pack Combinder? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20801
it is using the Big 3 Texture Packs and many many other small texture packs.
if your system can handle it then go for it ^^

Yeah I decided to unistall it. (retexture) dropped my fps to 30-50ish while recording.

Really anything at 23fps is ok, thats what your eyes see as normal movment, hence why tv broadcasts and movies play at that speed, anything else is just eye candy

I can't say I agree; I see a noticable difference between 30 and 60 frames per second. If possible I always try to get my games running at 'least 50.

My Skyrim runs at the lowest 30fps, in Whiterun with multiple graphics mods enabled; I do see the difference.

You will se a difference but like i said its eye candy, only when it drops below 23fps will your brain register lag

There's another way around that if you want to use the Official DLC as a base. You can add them to your Skyrim.ini file.

Edit: Correction, doing this has been completely unnecessary for a while now.
A bit behind the times on that one. Won't hurt anything, but isn't needed.
My bad.

There is a huge difference for me between 60FPS and 20-30FPS. esp in recording and that its unstable. going between 20-50 constantly.

The ENB is probably causing more of a hit to your fps than the DLC. I get a steady 59 frames (Nvidia with fps limited) with the DLC running on a mid range system. ENB brings that down to 30 fps, even with most features turned off.

Well I use Sharpshooters and he says it doesnt take much fps off. SOMETHING though is causing skyrim to just crash down to 1-10FPS when I record sometimes. I'll take the ENB off and see.
