What the heck did I do to my game?!?!

I was uninstalling a mod from the steam workshop (here there be monsters) so that I could do a clean save and then reinstall it. So I unsubscribed from it, then in the data files on the skyrim launch screen I selected to delete it and all of it's content. Now the game crashes after the Bethesda logo.

I then decided to run BOSS to see if anything was messed up and now all of my plugins, except for regular skyrim one is showing up in the unrecognized plugin section. All of my plugins are checked off in the data files section as well as in NMM. I tried resinstalling BOSS, that didn't work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a mod, that didn't work either. What's the deal?

Do you have another mod, that needed the mod you have deleted to work?

I don't think so. It was just a mod that added some monsters to the north sea. I think it has something to do with the BOSS masterlist.txt. When I start up BOSS, it just gets stuck on downloading: ./skyrim/masterlist.txt; for a while. Before it loaded quickly and you could see the percentage increase, now it just sits for about 30 seconds before loading the BOSS log with all of the unrecognized plugins. This has to be related to my game crashing.

Well I do not use BOSS so can't help you there. Hope one of the more computer savvy gamers can fix it for you. Good luck.

BOSS is having some server problems. Panic over, your game is fine.

Well, someone on gamefaqs mentioned the BOSS issue, but said he can still load his game just fine. So it might be something else. Someone else asked if I had any skyproc patch mods, which I do, I have ASIS and Automatic Variants. Anyone know if this could be the issue and how to fix it?

Ah HA! It was automatic variants causing the issue. I repatched it, and now I can load up no problem. Move along people, nothing to see here :-)
