' SKYRIM' border
baby-blue border has appeared around edge of monitor while in game - with 'SKYRIM' at top!?!

Did you start the game in windowed mode? >.> otherwise maybe a mod?

Checked - am not. Removed any recent mod, but border appears right after start...
Can play game,. but it is distracting big time!

I've got this same issue too and haven't found a way to fix it. Really distracting :(

you can try sbw from nexus website - simple bordeless window. ctrl+enter to activate it

it also stops the problems from alt tabing while your in the game

I have tried using that, and I have the same problem. It didn't work at all for me.

Are you running windows 8? When I got my new laptop that came with windows 8 this problem appeared. I tried everything I and anyone else could think of with no success. In the end for other non-game related reasons I ended up downgrading my system to windows 7.

Maybe this.

"To solve it, you have to tick a checkbox in the TESV.exe file properties. Go to there, select compatibility tab and tick on "disable display scaling on high DPI settings". "

Yes I'm running windows 8 but, none of the solutions so far have fixed the problem but, thank you and I'll continue to look for a fix

Are you running a mod?

Sounds like a mod has activated some of the old E3 demo stuff still in the game.

I'm on win7

when I alt-tab away from my game for X reason , when I want to go back , I only get the baby-blue border and a black screen , calling a second alt-tab for the skyrim windows solve the problem.


It's like I have to double call the game. I don't know if that can help you :S
