Killing Alduin - Bug?

So I've reached the Sovngarde Battle against Alduin!
For my first time, too, since I never really followed the main storyline a lot until just recently.
And I just don't understand what I am supposed to do here!

I shouted out Dragonrend in every possible way at every possible moment I could possibly have thought of until now, I even watched several videos on YouTube of people defeating Alduin and replicated it completely (or so I think)... NOTHING WORKS! ALDUIN WON'T LAND! Each time he lands it is on a cliff or some tall pole-like structure and there he is immortal, how is this not working for me? Come oooooooooon!

Please, if you have any ideas whatsoever I would be more than glad to hear them! Please!!!!!

Yes, there is a bug. When he first appears at the top of the mountain, he hovers and talks for a few seconds. If you attack him in any way at that point, he becomes invincible. You have to wait for him to start flying around and attacking.

Hmm I'm pretty sure I didn't attack him at that point... Then again I don't remember him talking much... Lol... Prob is only save I have before the battle against Alduin in Sovngarde is before the battle in the Throat of the World and I would NOT WANT TO DO ALL OF THAT OVER AGAIN XD

yes there is something you can do, open console click at alduin if u see his ID type "kill" and he dies instantly.

yes. but if u start playing with mods.. well its your choice you asked for a fix thats all i know.

If I remember correctly, you don't move after the (cut)scene starts untill it's over and Alduin is in normal combat mode. This is a known bug, doesn't matter if you use mods or not.

what part in battle sequence are you at? Have you used the clear skies shout with the other warriors?

Try google, I think there is a command to end the scripted event and start the fight stage.
Goodluck, and otherwise you have to do it over again.

Westlandresider, the fight with Alduin has started, there is no mist and he is summong meteors and stuff like that... As I said I already tried every possible way I could think of using the Dragonrend Shout and it simply doesn't work :)
