Imperials.
Ulfric is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, so is Tullius, but I wanted a woman on the throne.
Women should get treated better in Skyrim! d:
stormclock if you want to do justice on the land of skyrim but Ulfric was a major a-hole so it kinda balance for me... though in the end I choose to stay with Stormcloak just for the sake of not letting Mavem Blackbriar take the throne in Riften.. Hate that b@#$h
The Empire is at the mercy of the Aldmeri Dominion and is destorying the northern traditions of Skyrim.

Ulfric and the Stormcloaks could restore Skyrim and use the Dragonborn as a super weapon against the Dominion.

everyone has thought of this at some point... and the dominion would counter that with an arrow to the knee. xD
Stormcloaks because they are just trying to fight for their freedom from the empire and trying stop the Thalmor from hunting Talos worshippers, shouldn't anyone have their religion?

The Thalmor are the TES equivalent to Nazis.
well the whole wars outcome is really a double edged sword. if the empire win's, the thalmor wins on political terms and if the stormcloacks win, they get thrown into a second war which depending on how fierce your fighting has been for the civil war can determin who has the winning advantage during the next fight. btw, in case no one knows, the sumerset isles are located all the way on the other side of the continent so if they were to fight, most of it would take place out at sea. :P i have the warzone:civil unrest mod and some of the battles that take place can have up to 100 npc's on both sides slaughtering each other.

Mixed with a few other things, but that was the main idea.

I imagine without the Thalmor the Empire would've been the main villains in Skyrim, simply because they are most often portrayed in the negative light excepting the Thalmor.(Especially in the beginning first impressions have a big effect)
stormcloak so skyrim can be free and indpendant
Stormcloak, I can't walk past an Imperial guard without them telling me to move on and if I don't move fast enough they start attacking me.
lol, they do that sometimes. its not against the law to fight back. its against it though if you strike them first.
I went with the Imperials first because Ulfrid was an agent of the Thalmor. I'd prefer to find some way of reconsiling them so they could whip the Thalmor. But that doesnlt seem to be an option.
hey, well look at it this way guy's, the empire was founded by talos, the god-warrior of skyrim. and if you pay attention throught the game, there are multiple refrences that say the surrender of talos was only temporary so that way one day the empire could fight against the aldmeri dominion once again and reclaim thier god. the way i see it at this stand point is that the stormcloaks didnt want to wait or they simply did not believe the empire would carry out this initiative.
Well having played the previous games and maining as dunmer I'm kind of compelled to side with Stormcloaks, as though the dunmer and nords have problems the empire is pretty much 90% responsible for the state Morrowind is in.

(also I'm still convinced the imperials were behind the nord Invasion in ES:IV so Redorn would be too busy defending the nation to be there to with Telvani to veto Hlallu and Dres, siezing Indrol's lands and caving into imperial reforms to the laws.)

i dont know if the empire is entirely to blaim. not one group or person is completely responsible for everything.
