i completed meridians quest and got dawnbreaker but after speaking to her up in the air
when she sends me back down i die

so i have to go back to a earlier save to carry on playing

any tips and help much needed and with much thanks

After you talk to her second time she should ease you back down like before if not something is broken...just make sure you save after you kill final boss and before you touch final pedestal. Also if you can swig a fires and ice resist, run in final room and use the scroll for undead to send them fleeing then focus everything on Wizard to kill as fast as possible.

` then enter tgm then after she drops you enter tgm again, easiest work around i've found that stops you from dying from the drop. Yes it may be cheating but it lets you complete the quest.

i now have solved the problem
dragonborn expansion was not clicked on i data files aithough im sure that it was
now that it is i completed the quest

While 'tgm' does protect you from *some* forms of damage, it won't protect you from scripted deaths (like teleporting to Sovngarde using the 'center on cell' command, then leaving the hall), the command 'tim' will... although, just try not to get decapitated by a bandit with it on; the result of that will be like Skyrim turning into The Walking Dead.

Also, I have no idea how the Dragonborn DLC being turned off could have caused this bug, but I suppose that's Skyrim for you.

that happened to me this play through , had to use tgm in the console , worked every other time i did this quest( 3 or 4 times) , the only things different were i installed "imersive animations ,(stealth , running , one handed weapons ) , ufo (and i took it off ) enhanced blood textures , i'm prety sure these (or one of these) had an effect on that quest , ,

ive had this problem before. sometimes the fall will kill you and sometimes it wont. just keep reloading until the fall doesnt kill you.
