Staff of Magnus bug

Guys, pls help!(

Was trying to get a staff of magnus, went to Labirinthion, but when I came there, there was a mark on the map, that location is already cleaned up. Anyway, I went inside, and quest was going fine with all this monsters and ghosts.. But when i killed Morokei, I found that there is no staff of M. in his inventory, only the mask and some gold. I can see this stupid staff, he is lying near the Morokei corpse, but it is counted as a part of his body(shows - Morokei(empty)).

Tried to replay from the last save.. Same thing.

It may have fallen off of him when you killed him, thus wouldn't show up in his inventory. So that leads me to the following 2 questions:

1. Are you able to even go over to the staff itself or is it showing in a place you cannot get to?

2. If you can get to the staff Are you in first person when you're trying to pick it up, because the crosshairs are off in 3rd person.

That's a new one, usually there are two if it's bugged. Might be something new in 1.9 or a mod conflict.

You can add the Staff by typing: player.additem 035369 in the console if you need to.

Well, yes, I can reach the staff, it is lying not far away from Morokei, and I'm playing as a first person all the time

and your crosshairs don't give you any type of prompt?

Try moving his body then see if you can pick it up, his body may be covering it.

Yes, I tried to add it in my inventory using console command you mention above, but noth appeared!

edit: If you have a mod conflict causing it not to appear, might be good to try to track it down, so it doesn't cause other issues. If you have the Unofficial Patches for instance, make sure they're updated for the latest patch, etc.

Just be aware that adding an additional quest item via the console command might actually wound up causing your game to have more problems later on down the line with something random out of nowhere...Not saying it's going to, but it might, so just be aware of that

No, you are not) I put one(it is a quantity, as far as I remember), that doesn't help too..
After crosshair says "~ added" but noth appears.

Crosshairs says "Morokei - empty", nothing else..And I already tried moving his body and casting some spells, like fire. Got only pile of ash, but not the Magnus staff(

Something's got to be blocking it from appearing. I just tried the code and the game gave it to me. What types of mods are you running, if any?

Maybe my game got it. When I went on this quest, and defeated Morokei, he died with the staff in his hands, so I took his mask and the staff of Magnus from his defeated ash, but what I was surprised to find was a Staff of Magnus on the ground. So I took it and had 2. Sorry.

Thank you for helping me, guys(and probably guuurls)! After new patch been installed, Magnus staff magically appeared among pile of Morokei bones! Hooray

I got the same problem, morokai body is empty and i cant take staff of magnus from him. I got take all option there so there is the staff, but i cant see it and cant take it. I got the latest patch and i dont know where could be the problem... PS. console add it to my inventory, but nothing appered only the weight increase :D
