My graphics card is garbage.
Whenever I play any games on my computer it always has tons of lags and other problems. I have more than enough Ram and Hardware space and have a intel processor that is 2.5 ghz. The only problem is that I have an IntelHD 4000m Graphics card. I don't know if it's the card causing problems or maybe little ram allocated to running the game. If anyone has any suggestions i'd be more than willing to try.

Hi...you can try something from this guide: http://skyrim.gamebanana.com/tuts/10984 or you can use this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5123/? :)
I usually game on my Macbook Pro since I'm away from home where my normal gaming rig is. My Mac has the sub par Intel HD 3000 Graphics but I still can get Skyrim up to 40-50 FPS most of the time. I would first suggest making sure your graphics card is up to date. Also I highly recommend this mod as it removes shadows indoors with not too much graphical difference. Indoors especially homes are much, much smoother for me. In general, Intel integrated graphics struggles with shadows and vsync so try to find solutions around those.

I have plyed games on Laptop's, note/netbooks (all i had at the time) and PC's, and without any doubt PC's are the way to go, you can fully customize them to suit your needs and do it all yourself, i'd like to be able to recommend something within your laptops current capablities but i can't. you can build a nice gaming desktop for 490-600 dollars, just a thought

Pretty much this. If you want to buy a laptop for gaming don't buy a Mac; it's just not worth the money. I had to buy a SSD to bootcamp games and supplement the fact that my integrated "graphics card" was worthless.
I had that problem Rainbowsr...I had to run in windows mode on a low res to keep the lag down. It makes for a smaller screen but it's playable.
Intel HD graphics is not garbage, it's just not made for graphics intensive games. It's like taking a Civic LX to a drag race. There's nothing wrong with the car, but it's not going to win the race.

me and my best freind built mine it has a coolermaster HAF 912 mid tower case, gigabyte 990fxa ud3 MOBO, AMD fx 4100 unlocked quad core CPU @ 3.60/3.8 GHz, AMD HD 5750 GDDR5 (used) GPU, 8GB DDR3 Vengence RAM, 500GB WD 3.5in SATA 3 7200 RPM HDD, ASUS blu-ray 32x DVD-CD multi R-RW Drive and a cooler master Bronze 750W power supply with windows 7 home premium it was $950, had i built it 2 years before it would have cost close to $1200 but now it is up to $1100 everything was like 25-50 dollars off when i bought the parts not anymore though.

Edit: not trying to brag i just know i have been let down in the past by laptops and a true gaming laptop is almost as expensive as a used car, so in my opinion you get more bang for your buck with PC's and if you can build it yourself or know someone who can, that's the icing on the cake!

The 4000m is light and old. But make sure you don't have anything else running in the background. Doesn't hurt to check.
Any integrated graphics like the 4000m is crap and can't run JACK SQUAT. Here's a list of dedicated GPU video cards sorted by value http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html Buy the most expensive one you can afford. I would recommend a GTX 760 for around $250 if you got a pretty new fast processor. Otherwise look to spend around $150 to match an aging processor.

I was gaming on a laptop with an intel 4000. My only advice is to get a real gaming rig, no offense.
