Did you ever met cicero before you joind the brotherhood
If you travel on foot to windhelm, riften or winterhold you might meet cicero on the way. When you speek to him he gives you a quest etc etc. Now how many times have you met him before you join the brotherhood and what did you do?

I acutally passed by his broken wagon couple of times near the Loreius Farm because I wanted to do other 'fetching' quest for the guilds before I saved the Brotherhood for last. I insisted on pursuading the guy to help Cicero with his broken wheel as before the first time I done this I thought- what's so suspicious of some looney little man hauling a large coffin of his dead mother? Well I learned afterwards what that was. ;s
yea a guy transporting his dead mother and is nuts is so not suspicious

Cicero was funny in a game nearly devoid of humor! However (spoiler) You can kill him or let him live. What did you guys do?
so far he is alive "for now"

True to dat humor, Cicero as well is the Keeper and uphold the sacred traditions of the Oblivion Brotherhood. I let him live due how he set apart being a unique-voice assassin follower and a very good stats one at that. The DB Initiates are better-leveling wise although they're not good company being your hired-for kill slaves.

Yeah, I did. I actually helped him too. Really wish I hadn't. If I'd have known who and what he was....

Once, because I read about it on the wiki. Had no idea you could meet him before joining the Brotherhood. I ended up reporting him to the guard. I guess saving his life later on kind of made up for that though

I thought he was a skooma-dealer of some kind, or some Imperial spy by the looks of him, so... I kinda... uhm... *coughcough* reported *coughcough* him. Found out way later (too late) it had been a... bad.... idea. Being new to the game and all, I played about a week looking over my shoulder five times every minute in fear of seeing him and his assassin buddies launching an attack on me.

If the game can make you do that, that's funny!

I met him on that road near Lorieus's (sp?) farm too. I thought he was a weirdo and don't think I did that mini-quest.
Later when I met him at Dark Brotherhood I assumed he was nuts what with his Norman Bates-like obsession with his dead Night Mother and Astrid telling me she didn't trust him.

After the DB quests and they moved to Dawnstar, however, I took him out as a follower on a couple of stealth missions and he kept me entertained with his silly banter (he's more chatty than a lot of followers are). He reminds me of a combination of Woody Allen in that movie "Everything You Always Wanted to know about sex" (Allen plays a court jester in one sketch), Norman Bates in Pyscho and the child-catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I won't be killing him anytime soon. :)

Whoever did his voice though nailed it! LOL! Memories; "TB or not TB, that is the infliction...."

Lol. "Consumption be done about it? Of cough, of cough!" (you have to see the movie to appreciate that joke - one of my favorite movies!)

Here's Cicero - I mean Woody Allen - as an unfunny court jester. (Sorry, going a bit off track here!)
