Windowed Mode Causing Game Crash
I'm getting that annoying micro stutter in game. I could fix the stutter in caves by setting my FPS to 59 but outside my FPS averages 40-49FPS (running mods) and the stutter while minimal is still very irritating.

I have read that setting the game to windowed mode could help reduce the frame issues. I have it set to 1080p windowed but as soon as I try loading my save the game stops repsonding and crahses. This only happens in windowed mode, any fix?

I see... So when you load it back in fullscreen it works?

Have you tried changing the res to something else lower then 1080p. How about mods could it be a mod I don't know why a mod would cause this but you never know :x
Are you able to start a new game without it crashing?

Turn off all your mods and verfiy game cache then start a new game. See if it works?

It seems to have been one of the mods. I took them all off, SKSE included. I'm doing a fresh install and I'll test the game after every mod install to narrow down which one cause the issue. Hopefully it's not a mod I really want. =/

I see. I am a bit confused as why changing from fullscreen to windowed would make a mod crash the game... Hopefully its not the mod you really want causing it.

Alright, took a little while but I figure out what was causing it. It was very surprising.

It has to do with overwriting Skyrim HD 2K's Textures. Any of them. The way I fixed his was by installing the Skyrim HD 2K textures last and not letting them overwrite any other textures.

After adding many mods. It seems the issue can happen depending on the order of a number of things. There was a lot of reinstalling done today.

Same problem but I have NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue what's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up.

The mods that are loading are:
Multiple Followers Lite
Lockpick Pro
SkyUI
Crimson Tide - Blood 2.2
Build Your Own Home.

There is also:
Skyrim Tycoon - Reloaded
and Bloodier Combat.
These 2 however aren't set to load.

I also have SKSE.

The load order is:
HearthFires.esm
Multiple Followers Lite
Lockpick Pro
Skyrim Tycoon - Reloaded (DISABLED)
SkyUI
Bloodier Combat (DISABLED)
Crimson Tide - Blood
and finally, Build Your Own Home.

What is causing this? I have the same problem as you did, but I have NO clue which one is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up Windowed Mode.

Before you ask no I'm not launching the game directly through Steam. I'm using skse_loader.exe so it's not that.
