Recommended Graphics card?
I'm not good with hardware, and i'd really like to be able to play this game. Not looking for a super high-end graphics card, just one that'll let the game run. My PC's an unmodded Gateway DX4831-01e

Personly I would save a few more dollars and replace that doorstop with a gaming PC...

They're using Intel Media Graphics Accelerator as their default graphics. There's also a slot on there that allows you to use a PCI-e x16 graphics card. However, when you purchase a new GPU, you need a new PSU (to compensate for the crap PSU that they put in there), to actually upgrade and make use of it.

I'd recommend a 650 ti or a 660. OR the 760 nVidia GPU. OR you can go with many of AMD's equivalents.

Very true.

More Powerful GPU = More Powerful PSU ; PSU = Power Supply

if money is tight you could look for a used GPU on ebay or such and just buy a new PSU. i myself run skyrim without any problem on high settings with dozens of mods and my graphics card is an old nvidia GTX460 and my CPU is AMD phenom II 940.
And BTW: PC-hardware is no rocket-science :D: just read up on the parts for one or two evenings

A 650Ti is overkill. I've run it maxed out @ 60fps with a stock GTX650 1Gb. And if you were to go with a 650, get a 450W PSU, unless future upgrades are planned. If you aren't looking for maxing out the settings, I've also seen a GT610 run it on low just fine... so anywhere in between a 610 and a 650 would be good. And for an AMD comparison, I'm not sure about the low end, but an HD7750 is equivalent to a GTX 650.
