Hearthfire House
Hey all.
I bought the Lakeview plot of land recently. I built the initial first house, then got started on the main hall. I decided to go clear out some of the cypts nearby. (I mean, who wants draugr haning around my Skyrim Paradisse home. Lydia was missing so I used some codes to bring her back to me.
I decided I had spent enough time adventuring with her, and told her to leave. I took my stuff off her, and when I wanted to go store my stuff, my house wasn't there. There was no icon letting me fast travel there. I fast travelled near my house, and went looking for it, but there was nothing there.
I really don't have the cash to start a new house, so could I get some help please? Much appreciated

And I can't load an old save, because I quick save all the time. My last save put me right at the beginning of the game. So please don't suggest that.

1) Never rely on quicksaves, beyond the fact that this can happen and you don't have a save to go back too they're notoriously easy to get corrupted, meaning it won't load anymore. Then you lose your entire game. Always use at least 4-6 different saveslots.
2) Check if Heartfire is still loaded in your datafiles. If it's not to get your house back you need a save that hasn't saved since the house went missing.

Crap. THis means I have to reaply entire f********* game. ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************$I!Y$*(Y!&*($Y!&*(Y$*(!&*($&!*($&*(!$*(!Y$*(!&*($&*(!&$&(&*T$^T!%#!%^%^&%$!%^#%$!&$^&*!^$!^%$*^!$*%$!*^!&*$%*$^!($^*!^*

What happened is that for some reason Heartfire was turned off. Then you saved the game, telling the game the saved used all active plugins, with Heartfire not active it was no longer saved in the game. When you reactivate it the game won't recognise it and treat it as a new thing, restarting the quests.
Another thing, if you remove a mod from a save that uses a script it cna make your game unstable or break the save. So don't remove, either by accident or on purpose, any mods with scripts modgame unless you follow their instructions in their respective manuals.
Was Heartfire unchecked in datafiles? You can btw save with consolecommands.

savegame "YOUR FILENAME HERE"

example:
savegame "Dunmer armored Mage 4"

I'll check the datafiles thing. And with the mods I'll watch out for that in future.
That save game command will come in handy. Thanks!

When I start my game I come up with a fitting name. Usually the name of my character followed by race and/or class then I make 6 or so saves with a number difference:
Mormis Redoran Archer Paladin 01
Mormis Redoran Archer Paladin 02
Mormis Redoran Archer Paladin 03
etc.

Yeah, I had a look at my data files. hearthfires.esm was unticked. When I realized my mistake, I tried to go back to my old save. Turns out that autosaves are overwritten as well when it goes over three atuosaves. So I still lost my old character. That sucks. But thanks for your help

Lakeview has bandits nearby but draugr?

Windstad is the one for draugr theres Highgate ruins nearby the damn dead ones even spawn outside the stable block. Ugh. The odd dead sailor from the shipwreck in the distances spawns outside the house too.

Strange game...

North of Lakeview is some sort of ritual side, it spawns skeletons for me.

By the way, do I need to be a certain level before I get my first quest to build a house? Because on my last save, a courier contacted me, saying Skald (THe jarl from Falkreath), he wanted to talk to me. After I killed a bandit leader for him, he let me buy a plot of land. Do I still need to wait for that courier?

Okay, thanks!

For furnishing your house, I believe a Steward will do it for free albeit slowly.

Nah, I like to do it myself. I enjoy it
