Failed to download subscribed file! Steam error 53
I get the title error message when I try to download some of my subscribed mods, it seems to me like the downloads are getting timed out somehow.

I also get other errors, like "error 37" very, very descriptive error messages, right?

How do I solve this?

It happens randomly, you can TRY to verify cache with steam. If that doesn't work. run your anti software programs to see if you have a virus or malware.

According to a thread I found here it could be a UAC problem, he ran steam as administrator to fix. Sounds possible.

That is what I do, and its stopped the error message, good thinking bro!
