Stand up and fight, spread the word before it's too late!
I think now is a great time to 'seed' 4_chan, reddit... shoot, any site you come across or hang out at! It's obvious neither Valve or Bethesda are listening to us since the paid mods(*cough* DLC *cough*) service hasn't been removed or at the very least replaced with an optional donation button instead... then why do we keep blasting Steam when we can easily inform not only the rest of the internet, but attempt to recruit them to our cause? 4_chan is known to generate internet memes and other well known stuff daily and reddit is another good source to spread the word of our attempt to save the workshop... but why stop there? Why not band together and inform everyone possible before Valve, Bethesda, or these others that defend this stupid action can get their word in! Get the truth out there and save the workshop! Spread the petition, gather support, make our numbers boom to levels that Bethesda and Valve are unable to ignore!

I know im taking a risk making this due to the censorship that's happening, I know that ill most likely get banned, and I know that not everyone will see this situation the way the majority does... but in the face of the possible destruction of the modding community, nay the gaming industy itself! I can't sit back and keep silent like the good little sheep valve expects us to be. We the players and Steam users make Valve what it is so we have more say then what we think! Something as simple as spreading the news of the rebellion against the paid mods system can go a mile as well as others boycotting Steam forcing both Valve and Bethesda to reconsider this route.

P.S. If you truly care about the community and gaming industry as a whole, then ignore those few modders who are using this as a cash grab. Ignore Steams censorship and Valves attempts to cover up the sheer amount of us against this
service'. Ignore the costs of speaking out, if you get banned for trying to protect the community then so be it... that isn't a community you should want to be a part of, I for one feel this way. Right now us gamers are in small 'pockets' or resistence, when we can do so much more if we all work together!
I know as well as anyone that's reading this how hard it is for peace to be found on the internet with so many different views and opinions floating around so it's rare to have people group together in vast enough numbers to make an impact... we have a common goal so why are we still seperate? Why not work together to save gaming as we know it. Don't take this lieing down, let your voice be heard! Spread word on Twitter, Facebook, 4_chan, Reddit, everywhere you can! Help the rebellion!! Help Save the workshop! Help save the modding community! SAVE GAMING AS WE KNOW IT!!

4chan is dead and run by cucks but they already know about it.

Im going to stop you right at the 'people don't donate' since that's so wrong it hurts.

Also I just read the rest of you post and most of it is also wrong... im not even going to attempt putting logic into most of it since it's too much work so little outcome.
This won't increase PC gaming lifespan since it will have the opposite effect, what do you think would happen if mods go behind paywalls? I will give you a hint... no one will pay the modder, that's for sure and that's more hurtful then then small donations. Mods make games continue LONG after they are out of there prime, take away the open modding community and you have a hose that's been blocked and it's only a matter of time before that hose blows from that pressure

Yeah, sure, you have "proof"

Ahahahahaha

Half the people on the Nexus cannot even be assed to endorse a mod and you think they're donating?

You kill me.

i would like to think if the button to tip the author was there, that some people would at least put whatever change they have in their wallet - i'm not sure if the convenience is an encouraging enough factor but i like to think people would use it if it were an option.

You sir have the right idea! Just look as modding for other game mods and try to tell me something as popular as Skyrim didn't have any donators...

Churchill being a colonial warrior this is so out of place if you consider this to be exploitation (which it isn`t).

fight? sure people should fight to make sure that modders who want to to be are compensated for work that is the true moral high ground to stand on. the rest is not paying modders who want for their hard work...
