Free Dawnguard glitch?

Some time ago, i launched up skyrim, selected my game, started playing, the ususal stuff. Then some guard talked to me in french, wich my steam is in, but my game is in english so that caught my attention. He was talking about vampires and stuff and about the Dawnguard and when he finished talking i got the Dawnguard quest. So i was like WTF, i dint buy Dawnguard!

Well i kept playing, turns out the whole dlc is there, with no problems or anything except its in the wrong language. I bought Heartfire and DragonBorn but i dint buy Dawnguard cause it was rated a bit low but, well, its there. I checked the data file when you launch Skyrim and it says Dawnguard.esm. Its there and i have no idea why.

Now i aint gonna complain, this is pretty awesome (thank you god of gaming) but i have two questions:

1: Where the hell did that come from? I dint pirate it or anything, its just... there...
2: Is there a way to change the language of a dlc i dont technically have?

1: it was a bug in steams file distributing system
2: you could try to change the overall game language

Keep in mind that Dawnguard isn't there to stay as it was a mistake. Next time you reinstall, it will be gone unless you actually purchase it.

That leaves you a couple options. Just ignore the DLC and uncheck it from your load order, play with it and sacrifice your saves in the process, or just buy the DLC.

That all said likely the only way to get Dawnguard working properly is to buy it.

No. Uncheck it if you're not going to buy it. If you re-install, Dawnguard will be gone and your saves corrupted.

Missed the language bit LOL!
Skyrim properties, language tab and choose ? wether it will work. May have to choose another language, play (don't save) and then revert back to language you want. Only guessing here!!!
