2: you could try to change the overall game language
That leaves you a couple options. Just ignore the DLC and uncheck it from your load order, play with it and sacrifice your saves in the process, or just buy the DLC.
That all said likely the only way to get Dawnguard working properly is to buy it.
Skyrim properties, language tab and choose ? wether it will work. May have to choose another language, play (don't save) and then revert back to language you want. Only guessing here!!!
