Should I get a Childern's room or Alchemy Lab for Vlindrel Hall?

Well it depends really on where you want your kids to live ... I would go first for the alchemy if you need the bedroom later on you can always upgrade if I'm right.

Yes, I think it's about 500 to upgrade, no point getting a kids' room until you're sure you want some, as I'm not sure you can 'downgrade' to an alchemy lab, so to speak. Plus, you'll easily make the 500 with a few good poisons, and until you need it, you can stockpile lots of potions so you may not need a table of your own by that point.

Even if you run out alchemy tables are not that hard to find.

No, indeed, there are two (at least?) in Markarth, but it can be nice to have one at home, near your storage (mind you, if the storage setup is as frustrating as in Riften, it might be best to just have a strong follower carry all your gear to the Keep/Hag's Cure!)

Alchemy tables are pretty rare in Skyrim. Oh wait...

It all depends on what is more convenient for you. If you want to adopt a child, then choose the kids room. If not, alchemly room.
