How do I play Skyrim on an Apple computer?

There haven't been an official release for Mac. We just had this conversation and - unless third party takes the responsibility - there isn't going to be any proper release.

Other problem is that Skyrim is a bit clunky from console translation. It has it's share of bugs and most of them are fixed by the community. That work wouldn't work with mac either.

I am sorry, but Mac is unlikely to get support anytime soon, if ever - and mods most likely never.

Edit: Wait a minute... you have 886 hours in the game. Did you actually switched your game computer from PC to Mac?

Use Bootcamp to section your hard drive. Install a Windows OS on the other part of your HD and use that to install your game.

Many players have considered this almost impossible to get work. However, many players have actually got it right for the first time.

Flip of a coin, unless you are planning to install other games in similar matter.

In a way it's difficult to do. It took me a while to get it running because you have to make sure you do everything right. But people who pay attention to the directions will get it done the first time and have few or no issues.
Put a waffle inn the disc drive and get Windows.

Only needs to wipe their HD and install a copy of a win OS. A mac is only a mac because of the crappy OS it came with. 7734 it is only costing you twice as much to get a PC with that OS and you could buy the same PC with Windows on it for half that price.

I've had Windows PCs of my very own for 16 years and I've had a grand total of one (1) virus that survived long enough to cause any issues..

Less profit with initial Window Pc than given twice the profit for same pc with mac os.
As others have mentioned the other alt is to dual boot your PC.
Haven't followed Mac os in so long I can't debate the virus issues one way or another. Same as using Linux variations. Haven't used it in so long I wouldn't know how stable an OS it is. Actually I don't know if Mac Os is better than the last version I used OS3 maybe. Still it is a crappy OS IMO.
Dual boot linux and use Wine is another option, and a free one.
Dual boot Linux or Windows trough "bootcamp".
Thank you all for your inputs. It all seems ultra complicated to me. I have decided that if I do get an Apple Mac, as I think I probablly will, I shall hang on the PC purely for Skyrim and nothing else.

I must say I found some of the anti-Apple hysteria surprising in its venom and not very helpful.

It has been kind of a mac week...

I am sorry, if we couldn't help you, or if you felt that your question was unwelcomed here. Hopefully we managed to give you at least some help here.
