Marriage bug, help!
First a little background: I own Lakeview manor (only house I own), 100% furnished with two adopted children from the orphanage, a housecarl staying there, a lute player, and a pet dog and mud crab. I was married before, but she was kidnapped and died from a trap on the way home and I accidentally saved over it. Now I'd like to add a new wife to the mix, but when I get married and tell my wife to move into my house in Falkreath, she acts like she will, but never ends up at my house. She continues on with her life as if she's not married, but will still refer to me as "my love." The normal dialogue options normally available for spouses on Skyrim don't appear once I tell her to move to my house. I've tried this with multiple different wives, and the same thing happened to all of them. One of them even disappears from the game completely. I'm wondering if there's a patch for this, or a way around it. Thank you.

Unofficial Skyrim Patch series has HF patch included. Get them all from Nexus. You can find links from pinned topic in top of this forum.

Probelm might remain with current saves. If it keeps coming, then you should also tell us spouses you have tried.

Most females in temple of Dibella will remain in the temple and never move out. Some other characters have few bugs related to them that may cause a strange behavior.

Usually this bug gets solved, though.
Today I randomly decided to try marrying again, just to see if maybe it would finally work. And sure enough, on about the millionth try, I was able to get my wife, Muiri, to move in with me and she actually STAYED this time. I did everything the same as I did before and on the same save even. I had tried Muiri several times before. Not sure what was different this time.

Muiri is a good wife (sort of...) and one of my favorites, but extremely buggy choise for marriage. There are conditions for her to work properly in marriage.

Spoilers:
You need to complete whole Dark Brotherhood questline, and not just marriage enabling part of it, for Muiri to work properly as a wife. Her voice dependant options might also get bugged. That can be permanently dealt with console command, but doing so before finishing DB questline may bug the questline permanently.

It may be a faction problem, since your "wife" died and you did not go through any "Divorce" proceedings.

Yes, there is a way to get the game to "Divorce" you from your now deceased wife, so you can marry another if you're having issues.

You can find various options, here: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Marriage

Good luck on your upcoming divorce! :)
