What???

If you want to know where it comes from, just look it up.
Seriously?
Moon Sugar is like real world sugar, but it has abilities like drugs like cocain. Just like Skooma. Those Kahjiits must've had a bad background, because they're ethinicity is filled with drugs and such D:
It comes from a plant.
It's a mysterious kind of urine combined with desecrated corpses to create sugar that can be found on the moon.

That makes a worrying amount of sense (well, the first bit) if you've ever seen the 'Major Boobage' episode of South Park.

Moon Sugar is basically the heroin of skyrim. Comes from a plant (as does heroin), is illegal(as is heroin) and is extremely detrimental to your heatlh (as is heroin).

Eat your moon sugar. Is good for you.

Its a sugar that only Khajiits can eat and if you eat it crazy things should happen.
Moon sugar is a rather powerful hallucinagen (damn you bad spelling!) that has been a part of Khajiti culture for centuries. Its processed from a plant native to Elsweyr, and can be further refined into skooma. Khajits are pretty resilient to the effects of moon sugar, but it'll send most any other race on a serious trip. Skooma has an even bigger effect. Both skooma and moon sugar are highly addictive, and highly illegal throughout most of Tamriel. Which is to say, its one of the most lucrative and dangerous markets to get into. IIRC, moon sugar is actually used in many Khajiti religious ceremonies.
Still. It does not have an addictive effect on the main character in the game. That's very strange.
So don't be afraid of using it even if you´re not a khajit, SilentG.

Flyyyyyyyyin, flyin so highhhhhhh

bonus points if you know what that's from
Like one of the comments, they said it was like sugar. He was correct, it grows like sugar cane and can be used as the same way as just sugar but the khijiits use it to make drugs and are part of their religious beliefs but some use it to get high.. and it is dangerous to other races but not to the Khijiits because they have adapted to it by use of it for so long. Its like catnip to Khijiits in a way.

Sathos Aren, from Skingrad, Oblivion. It kinda made me sad that they nerfed Skooma from the incredibly fun version in Oblivion into the "Restores Stamina" version with no after effects in Skyrim.
