Gauldur's Amulet been nicked
Well, it's been a while since I palyed Skyrim and because another game was getting on my wick I decided to go to Skyrim for a bit of hitting stuff with a bow and arrow. I loaded up my save and found that I no longer have the above amulet in my inventory. I have checked my houses (only have three right now) and everything that should be in the is, but this amulet isn't. I checked my followers, even though they didn't follow me to get the amulet unified. I went back to the end mission for reforming the amulet and the amulet wasn't there (not that it should've been as I clearly remember picking it up.

My save has not had mods added mid game and none of the mods I have are mods that alter the way that amulet behaves, so I am at a loss to where I can find it again. Has this "bug" occurred in anyone elses game or am I just unlucky?

I don't think it is a bug, Yeah, the amulet is Olympic and my favourite. I have lost objects before..my Wabajack..needed that to turn a follower..Lydia...into a rabbit or chicken...but I digress.
I loaded an earlier save and attempted to locate..failed..loaded one earlier and learned I had put it in a "safe" place and had forgotten in the multitude of options..where? Sooo, bug? Not so much.
I don't really care all that much anymore, I am going to restart my save. I wasn't too happy with the way my character had played out but I am now interested in the whole "turning Lydia into a chicken" bit. It brings to mind a Simpsons episode (which is so far off topic it's silly)

Thanks anyhoo.
I just restarted playing after a few months break from the game. During that time Some mods had been removed and put on Nexus instead. The unofficials patches were no longer on workshop, but I knew that was going to happen. I had already added them from Nexus before I took my break. When I came back They wouldn't update from Nexus. I Found my mods on Nexus and repaired the lost gear I used from them(save depends on objects no longer game) Had to force the old unofficial patches to become active and made sure Nexus did not try to update. Sometimes when mods change and get updated from workshop or Nexus you can lose things in the process. I once playted for days with a mod(required Dawngaurd, which I didn't have yet)) then the mod was updated and would no longer play, Got ctd on start up. Point is an updated mod can create havok without major problems, but still can cause minor ones even in the vanilla Skyrim.
