The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

elder scrolls online success or disappointing
I know there is no ESO on steam but this is the best place to post this discussion
So yeah, I've played the beta and it was an ok gameplay but is it worth $60?

I have quit playing beta after few hours, game is more than disappointing..

i have been really looking forward to eso since i am mmo and tes fan
But sadly, this is elder scrolls extra light with bad graphics!

not much better than an f2p title
I love ESO. Love it. I'm really looking forward to launch and being able to take things at my own pace. And to be able to play it every day.
To be honest, it seems like a very good game. The question here is the monthly fee, wich most games are not doing anymore. I can tell you the launch is going to be amazing, i did the wow and the star wars launch, and its the most amazing time to play games, if they are mostly bug free. The game seems consistent, even though the graphics could be a bit better, but then again its an mmo, so you need to consider a lot more things.

Play wise, its having a Skyrim game, but with the extra of some spells on bar, so you can have more than just the 2 choices like in skyrim (this is due to the fact that you cant pause the game on a mmo, so you cant be swapping spells while the game is frozen).

I tried the beta on 2 separate occasions and i am very pleased, and will definitly be playing the game. Dont know about end content or PVP, but if it is as good as i have been reading about, then you wont be dissapointed.

I would give it a try, if i were you, i definitly will.
ill pass any games , no mather how good they are that req to pay monthly fee !
Reminds wow too much and too much arcade style according to ign.
The monthly fee made it for me, I'm not buying this!!
It just looks like a Multiplayer mod for Skyrim, but not a good mod, but a mod that asks you for money, so id rather play Skyrim and hope they dont screw up Fallout 4
I found it rather enjoyable, because it had some elements from skyrim and I don't know what you think but it seemed like som GuildWars 2 elements aswell
NDA f o k e s wow steam is stuipd

I guess the thing I'd find disappointing is the "King of the hill" concept behing ESO. Only one person gets to be emperor and that's always going to be contested by the next emperor wannabe. That makes being emperor to require having a very large backing in a guild/clan because you have to be big enough to sieze power and hold it.
The timeline takes place somewhere during the second era which is a step backward. Skyrim takes place in the fourth era.
Did the game developers include all the provinces of Tamriel in ESO? That might be the only positive thing I can see about all this.

you should have stuck with it, it's a grower. Intro and first area are very hand holdy and linear. When you get past level 5 it opens up more with exploration instead of quests if you choose, the guilds, crafting and what have you. When you get past level 10 it really opens up with pvp, open dungeons, instanced dungeons, dark anchors etc..

you will notice all the bad reviews only played the noob areas. All the good reviews got past level 10.

the beta didnt feature the whol game world, you couldn't access certain areas because they were for players higher level than the beta level cap.
There are more Guilds in ESO than in previous Elder Scrolls games, and you can be a member of five at a time - each guild gives a set of skills to choose from and develop with branching development as you gain more experience with them - customisation and 'uniqueness' will possible. For example 'The Undaunted' is a guild which is aimed at people who raid so you can customise your character's skills depending on your play style.
There is a lot of depth in ESO which we're only getting hints about in Beta, and part of the reason seems to be that they don't want to spoil the surprise for us.

I hate player vs player, and that seems to be the goal of this game. Fortunately the PvP is only in Cyrodiil, and you have three other provinces to play in per faction. So it's possible to completely skip that part, although it does mean there is no "end game".
