No.... Not this again......
Looks like I'm cursed or something, but this happens to me EVERY bethesda game and sincerely, I'm ♥♥♥♥ed off.
I was enjoying Skyrim, exploring whiterun, accepting quests, visiting the castle, when all of sudden, exiting the castle I receive this warning that the redguard's sword quest was failed... I checked and found a vampire eating everyone around... After multiple attempts of reloading the savegame and running there with the fast travel and my axe like a crazy, I was able to save the redguard, but no way to save Belethor, which was already dead by the time I arrived there fast traveling... I said "Ok... There're more merchants, even if this one was useful.."
This was obtained after half an hour or more of attempts.. but I could finally continue... I go out the town, when I hear screaming down the hill.. I go there.. 2 infernal dogs had already ate the horse, his owner, his servant and the farmer who went help them..... I loaded the autosave, made several attempts already, I am unable to save them all due to my low speed by running.. the dogs are simply too fast to kill them and this time I can't use any fast travel trick to act fast...

WHY THE **** did bethesda do this again???? They know this happened, happened in Oblivion, happened in Fallout 3, even in New Vegas many ppl were forced to use a mod to avoid group of the opposite faction to spawn, because they were buggy and too strong to beat and everytime the whole allied village DIED.. if they really have to do this, why don't make NPCs stronger then???? at least I was able to arrive and 2shot the stupid mobs (because yes, for me, they're 2 STUPID SWINGS)

Tell me there's something that can be done.. please..... This just ruins my game experience every time, cutting me off by game contents for stupid reasons... and I've only just started... :S

Mod: When Vampires Attack

Sets NPCS as essential and makes them run inside for the duration of vampire attacks.

I know your pain friend

Or you just stop buying games from companies that don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about their customers

What difficulty level are you on?
LadySky89 26. jan. 2014 kl. 18.01
I'm level 8, and I think it's late for that mod now... the dogs are already outside, I dunno what to do to arrive by time... I'm slow and even if I jumpt from the high walls, the house in front of me doesn't help to arrive in time... I'm trying and trying from quite a while now... They're such piece of cake for those monsters, monsters that I kill with almost a spit... Is there anything else that can be done?

It sounds as if you might be running on a hi difficulty level. Novice is the easiest Legendary is the hardest.

Ok, now I saved their life... but I had to pay a price... my power... one of the guys was scared by my fear spell, and after the effect was end and I had finally killed the stupid dogs, he came after me... In Morrowind (or Oblivion?) you could try to talk with them putting your weapon off to surrender, why can't this be done here too? after all, I used the spell TO SAVE THEM and I didn't hurt any of them with my axe... but NO, he's running after me while I keep healing myself with no idea of what to do...... suggestions???

I'm medium and I'm fine... I'm not the one in difficult times... the npcs are as they can barely hit the mobs before dieing.

He's right in at least 1 thing, and I say it as Bethesda's fan (since I buy and play their games since years now). They didn't care about the problem which was found in 3 games already, they should've solved it by now.

And yet... the number one complaint about Skyrim is that you can't kill essential NPCs. I guess you just can't please everyone.

This one is a BUG, not a complaint.. I don't ask for immortal npcs, but they could at least be able to defend themselves, aren't they north???
One wants to play without such things ruining his/her experience. Mobs can kill npcs by just looking at them, and I asked for help, so cut the crap out PLS.

I mean the game seems to be throwing alot of badguys at you. On a lower difficulty there may be less. Also, there is a mod entitled essential merchants that supposedly protects them. Finally, Isolda should take over Belathor's store, I try to kill him so she will.

Well, so at least Belathor wasn't that useful. What about my current problem? (and really, it would've been enough if NPCs were able to resist and give me a chance to help them...)
This way is not even worth to buy an horse for 1000 golds, if I did, it would be dead by now, with my 1000 golds.
And I don't want to lower my difficulty, I'm fine this way, why should I get bored with easy mobs because stupid npcs have 1 health point?
I need a way to fix this so that I can play normally... Not even guards are here to help when you need...

Seriously... I saved the farmers with my fear spell (which is aoe, so I couldn't do much), killed the dogs (which weren't scared at all by my spell) and now the whole town tries to kill me and I have no way to apologize or pay a fee to be let alone and reset the situation.... this could be done in old games, why not in this one?? I'm rly getting nervous now.... Isn't there someone expert of this game that can advice me?

Yes, this is the only thing I dislike about Dawnguard: vampire attacks in towns.

These attacks won't stop until either join the Vamp or Dawnguard. Joining the Dawnguard is worse because the attacks don't stop till the last quest to strike castle Volkihar

Well... Good... I escaped guards... no one wants to even see me anymore in whiterun, while I did this to try to fix a situation caused by a BUG... Now since I started the game by a few time, and the guards didn't ask me to pay or to get in prison, I'm banished from Whiterun and wandering like a fool.... The beginning of my gaming experience in Skyrim couldn't be nicer.... What to do?
