Game Keeps Minimizing

Ok.. I recently upgraded to Windows 10. Ive never had this problem but i can play for a little bit and then randomly the game minimizes to the desktop and when i try to re open it its just a black screen but i can still hear sound.. i have to right click and close the program and reopen it.

Anyone know what would cause this.. does windows 10 have something randomly updating that needs turned off?

Maybe you have a virus. A normal w10 shouldn't be doing that.

No I did a few virus scans to make sure.. and it only happens when playing Skyrim

Another thing i noticed is every once in a while both the ingame mouse icon and my normal windows icon will show up.. it seems my Windows mouse is clicking on the Steam program behind the game causing the game to minimize and make steam the focus.. anyone know how to solve that?

K ill try that after i try changin Raptr.. i have Raptr running and found this forum that kind explains the same issues

Yes if anyone stumbles upon this and has the same issue.. turning off Raptr worked for me.

has always happened to me windows 8 and 10.
This new gaming comp has things like webstorage and bells n whistle ♥♥♥♥ that updates or gives me a popup booting me out/minimizing game.

If I try to go right back it is blackscreen, but I have to click on the screen..then hit windpws button then click mouse again it comes back.
Win8 used to then give me double cursors but 10 hasnt done that so far once back in.

Yeah i guess the trick is o figure out whats causing pop ups and disable it while playing.

I've finally worked out the cause for my minimizing in Windows 10 Skyrim ... but I don't know how to rectify, so looking for some input.

There's a hidden minimise button in the upper right of the full screen window! You can test for this too... hit ESC and on the menu screen, move the Skyrim mouse cursor to the upper right, right where the minimse button would be. Then ESC again back into the game, and move the 'hidden' cursor around while clicking the left button until you find the sweet spot. BOOM - it'll minimise!

When you're moving around in the game world, every so often you'll hit that spot accidentally, without even realising; for me its often during combat.... PAINFUL.

Now - how the heck to disable it??

Righto, that was easy once I worked out the cause ... still a bit of testing to do, but it looks like going borderless will do it. I trialed this mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36177/?) but there are very likely other methods. ENB also has an option to force borderless, so I'm going there to try after disabling that mod ... good luck!

Confirming - ENB force borderless full screen seems to do the trick as well.
