Odd Iron Shield Bug

Ok I'm a mod a holic, but somehow even when I start a vanilla game, I start with an iron shield. Not really weird, but when I turn on my mods, the shield is still there, but I cant find it in my inventory. It's only there when I'm at the armorers work bench. Any Ideas?

Oh and when playing with mods on, iron shields do not exist, nor do hide shields. Enchanted ones do, but not the normal ones. Just wondering if anybody else has run into this weirdness.

I have the same problem as you. I have 3 iron shields in my inventory and I can see them when I use the bench improving thing, but when looking in my inventory, they are not there. You are not alone.

I have also got this problem, has anyone got any ideas on how to fix get it out of my inventory?

Save first, then open the console, click on your character, and type "showinventory" and press enter. Find the offending items (use Page Up and Page Down to scroll), and type "removeitem ***id***", where ***id*** is the numerical ID of the item as shown.
