He's dead Jim. Modding might have killed my Skyrim...
I added a few mods, the biggest of which was Interesting NPC's. I used NMM to download that, and two others, and three more with the Workshop. I've deleted them all and taken out all of their files but when I try to start the game through SKSE it crashes... Can anyone help me troubleshoot. And no, I have not tried turning it on and off again. Thank you!

I'll try it and see if it works. Thank you.

Bad news, reinstalling it did not work. I don't think that SKSE was corrupted. Do you perhaps have any other ideas? Thank you again for your help.

Try to desactivate your mods one by one, maybe it's a conflicts between one of 'em. If it still doesnt work, uninstall em all and tray gain :dswilson:

disable all the mods to make sure it isnt a more compicated issue first. then add 1 by 1. it was doing it to me but after i adjusted load order it doesnt happen again

Why did you delete them all? Its almost guaranteed to cause a crash especially if they're scripted.

Try Hadoram's savegame script cleaner.

Is it crashing the moment you load Skyrim or the moment you try to load your Save?

Last week I removed every single mod in my game, then added a bunch again, then started Skyrim through the SKSE and the game was fine.

My save would have been screwed though, but I just quickly start a new game, then as soon as I can get to the in-game menu, I load up the save and there's no probs.

Yes yes.... I've heard all there is to say about this process making your save "Dirty" with extra scripts, etc. and may make them unstable, but for me it has always worked. There has never been an extended loading time for my saves, no crashes, no major issues whatsoever.

One can use some script cleaning program for your saves, but that also comes with risks.

There are risks to everything when playing with mods or removing those mods. Do whatever works.

I know for me, the above process works just fine.

If I experienced a bunch of problems from the above process, or any problems for that matter, I would no doubt either jump onto some save script cleaning program, or simply start a new game. This process works for me, and it may work for others.

.... and then again it may not.

It crashes the moment I load Skyrim. I can't see the title screen...

I disabled them first, and it wouldn't work. I thought that maybe if I deleted them it would do something else.

If it does that, it likely means that an .esp you have loaded requires some other .esp or .esm that is missing. Have you looked at all the .esms and .esps you have active in some sort of mod manager and made sure that you have all their needed prerequisites?
