scroll doesn't send me to the past in Alduin's Bane

I had a problem with elder knowlodge and the only way I could finish it was through console (picking the scrool didn't finish the quest) and then add the scroll to my inventory with the console. Now this scroll doesn't work and I can't go to the past to complete the quest. Any guidance?

I had to power through that quest via console commands, apparently that part of the quest is very heavy in scripts, sometimes they don't activate because they previous script did not meet the requierments of the new one (ex: alduin flies to mountain, doesn't land)

My solution was console commanding what I could and letting the game play out the rest (or a mix) until it worked. BTW use a real save, not a quick save. If something fails and bugs out reload from the real save.

It seems that you will likely have to reload a save prior to the use of the console and try again from there. The TES series is notoriously buggy and Skyrim is no exception. I find it best to save early and often.

I think it was: try reading the scroll a completly different place first.
Then go read it on the throat of the world.
Then dont move your mouse. Dont look. And it should progress fine.....even if you wont see anything.
I suppose unofficial patches fixes that soup, but cant tell for sure.
