Guide to make skyrim look better?

I hate trying to watch youtube videos of people doing it because its too hard to follow

Is there a guide to install a ton of mods to make it look realistic like in some people's screenshots? :S

Not a guide per se, but a set of graphic mods.

It's because they have to explain it in perfect detail if they leave ONE thing out it could cause a complete crash or could permentaly damage your Skyrim Folders causing the player (You) to having to not only unistalling the game but deleting the Skyrim Folder with everything in it and then having the player reinstall the game in it's default setting without mods or any big changes with the folders

In order to make Skyrim look better you must make sure your PC is up to par with those 'overhaul mods' such as ENB's they require a percise installtion and also a 'beefy' graphics card if your computer can't handle ENB's then don't bother installing them but instead watch YouTube videos on how to set up your PC to make Skyrim run those type of mods with out any faults and yes it will require lots of money as well nothing is for free

It would be better if you were to post your PC information like what model you have and the type of graphics card you have it would help a lot better for your situation

It will take a long time with modding to be able to do what you see in people's videos. Even the step by step guide instructions leave out details such as specific .ini tweaking which you will have to play with on your own and figure out via trial and error. It is very difficult at first and frustrating because your stuff will almost never look like the picture even if you do everything perfectly right.

As the guy above stated, we need specs. If you have the right specs, we can put you on the right path to making everything from bright vibrant lore friendly photos to stuff that you could show people and get typical responses like "no way, you can not tell me that is a video game, it looks so real".

Oh and, despite what your first responder has stated, nothing off of steam is going to get you the realism you are seeking. The Nexus holds your answers.

It also depends a bit what you mean by 'better'/'realistic' - particularly in terms of NPCs, some people seem to want their (female) NPCs to have weird, flat, Barbie-like faces (*cough* 'Better' 'Females'), others want to enhance the basic Skyrim NPC look (XCE, perhaps, or Cover Women), etc.

Two fairly basic (and fairly performance-friendly) graphic improvement mods which are easy to install and, IMO, give pretty impressive results, although certainly not comparable to an ENB are one of Realistic Lighting Overhaul or Enhanced Lights and FX, and one of Pure Waters or Realistic Water. They will work on machines which can run on Medium graphics.

I want it to be realistic not final fantasy :p

Well you are going to have to show me something of what you are talking about then. My setup followed the most photo realistic set up that is available for Skyrim.

You have plenty of Ram but I had to upgrade from a 760 to a gtx780ti to get the results I have without constant CTD.

Your backgrounds look great, your women's faces may just give me nightmares...

A few of my screenshots - I'm not claiming they are the most amazing looking things, but bear in mind this is with really straightforward mods, on medium settings, on a non-gaming/graphics-focused machine, with none of the high res texture packs or anything. Only graphics mods I have are RLO, Pure Water(s?) and some character prettiness mods, can't remember which but if I have used the right link for the pic of my PC they are listed there. Obviously you could get more spectacular results with an ENB, but they do require a LOT of work, and I am guessing you could get some pretty amazing results just by adding these mods, the high res packs (I believe there's a set on the Nexus which is preferred to the Bethesda DLC one) and having a much better PC than mine.

You got an ok system for an ENB.

Suggestion woulçd be get to nexus, search up realvision ENB, follow the guys guide.

It looks great, its realistic, and he gives you ALL the mods you need to make it look like his screenshots/videos.

Doesn't get any easier.

Explain to me how my characters faces give you nightmares and you are content with yours? That makes absolutely no sense after looking at any of the stuff you just posted.
