One thing i can say is to install the Unoffcial patches.
I think he's asking for starting advice in the game, not on how to fix problems.
Anyway, I don't have any advice to really give you other than play however you like. The game is very open-ended so you can basically do whatever you like.
You can think about it like you have one life that you have in one game. you can marry what ever you want etc.
But install the Unofficial patches. They fixes alot of bugs.
Nice to know, always good to be enable to adress someone correct :)
You can find them at Nexus. In the pinned topics you can find one tread that tells you where they are. They are free to DL.
this is the tread. you have all information in that.

Used one mod for that.
Have played like one female that was good at magic and bow.
You can be what ever you want :)
