I picked mzulft key from the guy. I'm now at the door, and I can't open it. I've tried exiting the area and then coming back in but still not working. I NEED HELP!

Make sure you have the key.
Other than that ... do you happen to have any mods ?
If so, I'll guarantee that's where your problem is coming from.

yes i have mods. now i tried to delete mods and open the door but still not working :(

go to your console commads and open it

Reload from when you entered Mzulft and talk to the guy. He'll die and you get the key anyway.

Don't delete mods mid-playthrough.

You can't pick that dying guys pocket without breaking the quest . Go in, talk to him, let him die, get the key, everything works.

Do anything different, everything ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

He can't be killed, I had an issue with this npc once due to a mod. His script wouldnt fire so I tried killing him. Ot even kill all worked, his script has to fire off.

You can't kill him, you also can't pickpocket him. Well you an but you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ his script if you do.

Go in, talk to him, let him die, get key, door unlocks, the end.

That is likely how their game got messed up in the first place.

I post from my phone so what prints and what I'm saying isn't always the same.

In my case, I tried using the console killall when the guy wouldn't die.

Anyway, like said. In this case you must also the script to run. No stealing, no killing.
