Are there worse creatures than bears?
1 hit K.O. mauled to death.

I hate bears. I think I will try to burn them to death with my spell instead of using my bow.

So far I have learnt that bears are more deadly than dragons.

There are many worse creatures than Bears, Trolls, Dragon Priests, and Giants among others. What level are you and what type of bear is it? Difficulty? I can 2-3 shot bears on master with an ebony sword.

Are you runnig Skytest by any chance? Because in my latest build I fell to a wolf ambush early on ... Major embarasment LOL. I say load Hunterborn, and go after them instead. Make every arrow count ;-)

Just for you

Short answer: yes there are worse creatures. I don't want to spoil your fun by telling you what they are.

These aren't in Skyrim, but still Elder Scrolls: Cliff Racers. Elder Scrolls players' worst nightmare. NO ONE likes Cliff Racers.

I've killed some trolls already in a cave & they were no where near as bad as bears. They kind of reminded me of chimps. Ah yeah giants. One hit me with a club & I went flying into the air, was awesome.

I will check as I'm not sure. I just browsed the workshop & chose some mods randomly to try out. Nice screen shot & I burnt the bears to near death then finished them off with my bow. Yeh the wolves are a bit sneaky but not so bad. I'm on my way up to the Grey Beards quest & apparently there are supposed to be a lot of wolves on the way up there so I guess I'll see how that goes.

I already killed a sabre cat but i couldn't loot the corpse as it died then glitched into a rock & vanished. I would really like to be able to dodge roll as I feel my char is more like a pogo stick atm.

Ah ok I just wondered which creatures other people might hate or think are worse than bears. Just curious as they are the worst for me so far.

I'm actually looking forward to trying out some hunting & fishing. I downloaded those mods for something else to do when I feel like it later.

I just checked & yes I am! I'm gonna keep it though, well at least for now. Maybe it's a mod for when I have more experience, but I'll see how it goes. (totally forgot I was subscribed to that).

They are horrible, they swarm you and follow you around, you could just talk a walk turn around BAM 20 cliff racers at your back. In the lore the cliff racers where so numerous they drove the Dragons from morrowind.

try the mod immersive creatures if you dare

Once smithing is good you can make gear able to take on anything. Still taking on bears at a low level without paralysis poisons is suicide at higher difficulties.

Yeah, when you're a bit weak and if you're playing with minimal armour, bears can pretty much one-shot you. The worst thing is they're surprisingly fast, and they attack in quick succession. Trolls spend a lot of time roaring and waving their arms about, so you have some time to cast a spell or at least backpedal a bit. No such luck with bears.
Randox Sep 26, 2016 @ 4:55pm
I've had trouble with bears before with mods like SkyRe. But then, in the same mod I also had to run halfway down a mountain while trying to kill a troll, so clearly we've had very different relative experiences.

I've probably died the most to wolves though. Not that it's many times, but wolves are the first monsters you really encounter, and certain mods make you a right old weakling at the start. The trick is to never get so powerful that combat becomes trivial. I like it when I can still die, and quickly, if I screw up.
