It's an insult to the Elder Scrolls series. It's an ok game at best, but comparing it to Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, it doesn't hold up to the RPG standard of the series. And role-playing immersion is one of the best elements of the Elder Scrolls series... and having 20 people crowding around an NPC to hand in a quest kind of ruins it. It was sad, stuff could have been done with that concept, but Elder Scrolls isn't MMO material. Now, if you want to see an Elder Scrolls game to Multiplayer correctly, go watch and play Dark Souls, possibly the best mutliplayer system in any RPG I've seen.

Yes. Every time another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ company makes a game of a series the same company has been making it always goes south. Example: Batman Arkham Origins.

Actually, in addition to/instead of what I wrote above, I think TES 6 will have something to do with the Thalmor. What makes the Dragon problem dangerous and exciting as subject matter is because it arrives in the middle of a civil war AND a precarious truce with the Thalmor post-signing of White Gold Concordat. It's not something that is developed in the main-quest line because there's no time. They're a marginal presence in the game.

A return to Skyrim would obviously be commercially viable (more than Elf Country, Frenchmen (Bretons) Cats, or Lizard Men). And there's unfinished business there. It could span Skyrim, Cyrrodil, and the Sumerset Isles. Bigger, but end of Thalmor/Imperial truce and Thalmor wanting to genocide man because of their neo-pagan Hitler type religion would give it focus.

Return of the Dwemer (or, if they are all gone, a Return TO the Dwemer) as I read in a comment in YouTube a long time ago also possibility.

Right now, it's in pretty clear standing that if both sides are weakened too much by the war, the Thalmor would come in and crush Skyrim with ease. It'd be interesting to see how the war is handled in games after Skyrim.

They'll still be in a truce because the Dragonborn has been too busy leveling up his alchemy or randomnly exploring caves to properly slay the world eater yet. So yeah, the Thalmor can come in and do their business.
