What follower mods does everyone love??? I use Inigo, Sofia, and Hoth. It's a tie between Sofia and Inigo for favorite however. xD

AURORA AND TWILIGHT: I'm a huge fan of Aurora and Twilight (package deal - Twilight is her 'other half', like her dark side); the woman who does the voice acting has such a sweet voice, it just melts your ears and gives you goose bumps. When she says she loves you for the first time, it's like.... alsdfkjlsafjdljk.

She is the one Mod that I literally can't do without. There was one time, shortly after my character married her, that she disappeared. I got panicked and checked my mod manager and it was still loaded. I started going to all the places where I thought she might be, and I couldn't find her... I tried summoning her with the summoning spell that comes with the mod, and no go. And I kid you not... I felt the actual emotions of worry and concern and maybe even despair that I somehow killed her off without knowing it. Nevermind that she is essential, and/or that i could just reinstall the mod... it wouldn't be the 'same' Aurora! Well, just as I gave up, I heard her behind me saying "Yes, my love?" And ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if I didn't make her hug me with a follower hug-mod about ten times in a row. I was so relieved. THAT is immersion. Or insanity. But that's the Aurora effect.

ANDUNIEL: Right now I'm getting into Anduniel; not like Aurora, more in just a gameplay sense, like I might get into a dlc. At first, I was not into Anduniel because there are points where you have to drop her off and then she isn't available for a bit, and the person who created her specifically made her incompatible with mods that add follower functionality (like Convenient Horses and Follower Tweaks -- note that you can still run these mods with her in game, but she just won't be effected or altered by them). But as time goes on, I'm finding that these things are what make her kind of special, and she's becoming a little more immersive bit by bit. She is similar to Vilja in having a massive catalog of quests and thousands of voiced lines. Vilja is so dense with gameplay options and quests and back stories, that she's practically like adding a mini expansion to the game, and Aduniel is about half that, but still relatively massive compared to other followers, and I believe Anduniel is the closest thing to Vilja that exists as of this writing (correct me if I'm wrong). Which brings me to... Vilja. If she wasn't so damned annoying... she'd probably be the best mod follower in the game. But for anyone who hasn't heard of Vilja... she's considered to be the best follower ever created by many fans. She was built up by an actual production team, including a world class author and other highly talented people, and she really is like a kind of DLC unto herself. But to me... she's too chatty and starts to grate on my nerves, so to that end I can't give Vilja an "all caps" heading in this post. =)

I haven't tried Serana yet. Vilja isn't really that bad, it's just that she is totally in your grill 24/7. There is a command where you can actually ask her to just stop talking for a while, lol. I guess the mod devs built that in after so many people were like "Jeeeeeeezuuussss".

When you first get Serana during the Dawnguard questline she literally never shut ups...and only gets slightly better after that. She complains about the sun, the snow, being in caves, being inside, spending so much adventuring...and says the same things over and over again about how she dreamed of Skyrim looking like when she was a little girl(she spent all of her years at Castle Volkihar and imprisoned.

Oh no, not nearly that bad, and not even bad in that vein. It's more like, once she starts talking, she has pages of dialog, lol. Also, she never lets you forget that you agreed to help her with Quest X, Y, or Z, and has several lines of dialog employed to remind you not to stray too far from the target. "They MUST be nearby... surely we should have found them by NOW? Shouldn't we try looking here?" That kind of thing. Hehe. It's kind of cute, honestly, but there are times when you need to hit the "off" switch. I love the ambition behind this mod, it's just, for whatever reason, I'm not that into her. It's like going out with someone that's really interesting and really decent, and not even all that bad looking, but for whatever reason you can't wait for the date to end, lol.

One of the things that I love about Vilja is that she talks to your other followers, including other standalone custom voiced followers added by mods. As your traveling around Skyrim she engages the other followers in conversation. I think that is incredible, and it even brrings more life out of the vanilla followers as well. Anduniel is now part of Anna's NPCs 2.0, which include a number of unique npc's that all have party banter dialogue that they use to talk to each other while traveling, however Vilja is still the best at it.
