If you want to replay the game after you beat it, pick the other one.
Or if you have a strong preference for red or blue uniforms on town guards. Other than that, it doesn't really matter.
Hahaha, sometimes I don't even bother with the Civil war so that the guards can still wear their pretty colors. Yellow for Whiterun, Green for the Reach, Purplely for the Rift. Lots of different colors if you don't do the war. Plus, the forts they occupy are still bandit/necromancer forts that are super fun to sack.
I usually side with the Empire, but only because I like Hadvar and Rikker better than Ralof and Galmar.
Honestly, I like the colors too.
This is my last post on this board, so I want to say that I've enjoyed reading your remarks and progress over the year(s). You're a good egg. I know I tend to phrase that in the diminutive, but I don't mean it as insulting. Your posts kept me playing Skyrim long after I would have normally lost interest, so there's that. To borrow from Doc Mitchell in Goodsprings, you take care now.
Fair winds, sir.
And fair winds to you as well.
Gotta love variety eh ^.^
Imperials 4 lyfe.
