Soul Trap Spell Not Working

when i cast it on a human at EXTREAMLY CLOSE Range and then kill them within the time alloted of the effect it dosent fill The Black Star or my black soul gem, please help

Is it already filled? Does the Black Star work if you use a dagger or other weapon with the Soul Trap enchantment? Do you have mods that might interfere with the mechanic? What did you have for lunch?

i shouldent have any mods that affect soul trap and nether the black soul gem or the black star is fill, i mean i do have 250 mods and at tps 75 of them are scripted but i have to solutions that dont conflict that should vastly speed up script speed

Please rephrase the last part in proper English. With 250 mods I assume you use LOOT ?
