So there I was in the bottom of some ship just arrived in some port. It looked like it might be dumb but when I got out it was beautiful and charming. I could go anywhere and it was huge. It seemed a little too easy but it was the beauty and exploration that kept me going. I remember there was a town with great sand storms that really had me feeling like I wanted to get to shelter. You felt the presence of the storm even when you were inside but it was nice because your face wasn't getting sand blasted.
I read a lot of the books to try and get the flavor of things, but I'm not a big fan of fiction, especially fantasy. The music has a way of letting you know you're in the elder scrolls universe. I'd say I'm a pretty big fan of the series even though I don't know or care too much about what's going on because I've spent a lot of time there. Still haven't installed Oblivion.
And here's my story - I was playing Skyrim late into the night. The air in the room was getting quite acrid with wood smoke. For days I had assumed the smoke was from someone in the neighborhood heating their house with wood but as it turned out I had a fire in the wall and had to evacuate.
It turns out fire can be quite a sneaky thing. It had vaporized a foot of a 2 X 10 beam in the ceiling before I called the fire department.
luckily there are a TON of mods now that can make Skyrim really more immersive and truly an epic TES game...it's too bad the vanilla version doesn't have all of this to begin with ! :\
Yeah i've got like 28 mods running on Skyrim.
I liked how giant it was, but it wasn't fun back then. There were LOTS of XP grinding games, I wasn't interested in another one. Preffered X2: The Threat.
I actually don't like the RPG genre too much, Skyrim is the only one that doesn't make me doze off.
I stepped out of the sewer a free man. The first thing I did was turn left and run around the island until I encountered a group of bandits, pulled out my club, then got killed.
I promptly restarted the game, made an Altmer and went full mage after that. Still couldn't save the captain from the guy in the wall though.
