Spells are disappearing from my inventory.

Need some help figuring out why this is happening, seems to happen only when I hot key spells. I think it has something to do with SKYUI but I'm really inexperienced when it comes to mods so I have no idea. Any assistance will be appreciated.

don't hot key the spells, try buying a spell book adding it and play around skyrim for a bit and see if that spell you just added is still there

also did you run LOOT? verify cache? have the unoffical patches installed?

What is LOOT and how do I verify cache? And what does that do. No i don't have the unofficial patches installed.

install the unoffical pacthes

go to your steam library right click on skyrim go to properties, and go to local files and from there click on verify cache

it will go through your skyrim file and see if there are any missing files and restores them

Right. It said there was 1. I mean what does verifying it actually do? Also, I installed LOOT but it won't detect any games, and i've actually had the unofficial patches for a while but if i have them installed my game crashes after the bethesda logo.

1. verifying checks your skyrim files to see if it's in clean condition and if it's not then it will address that

2. You have to use LOOT when you are on the skyrim launcher that way it will run properly and tell you your load order and such

3. Do you have the DLC installed? and also do you have your load order set up properly if your load order isn't set up properly then execpt crashes

Got LOOT to work. Yes I have all of the DLC, and LOOT modified my load order.

I had the same problem, or thought I did. I found it was actually that the language of the spell (candlelight in this instance) had changed to german for some reason. Using the hotkey found the spell and it appeared in my quick menu again. Maybe that's what's happened to you.
