Skyrim Legendary Edition: Multiple Steam Accounts?

My friend recently bought the Elder Scrolls Anthology. Having enjoyed each ES game so far, I thought I'd finally give Skyrim a try. Apparently, however, Skyrim Legendary (the version packed in the anthology) requires Steam activation. My friend has not yet installed Skyrim, so it has not been activated yet. Is it possible for me to activate it on my account, or will that prevent the original owner from activating it on his afterwards?

If you want to lose a friend, you could activate it on your account.

I have a very good feeling only 1 of you will be able to bind it to your account if it requires activation. So if you activate skyrim on your account he will not be able to activate it on his as well. It's to help prevent pirating however pirates still find a way to pirate so it doesn't work heh.

just nag him to death about activating it on his account and then redownload it on your pc through his profile lol. to enable the game to be played by ur profile you gotta make sure his account is authorized on your computer and just to play it safe his as well. but downside is that only one person can play at a time while being online. have fun ;)
