Cooking skill mods?
Are there any mods out there that add a cooking skill tree? Something that lets you learn new recipes, improve effects, etc. Sort of like Alchemy, but for food? Or maybe a mod that lets you gain Alchemy experience for cooking?

Yes there are mods that do some of that; Cooking Plus on Steam improves alchemy skill.

I'm currently using two mods called Uncommon Taste Recipes and Herbal Tea. Both let you make the dishes in the book "Uncommon Taste" and prepare tea while also providing books with recipes for different kinds of tea, respectively. They don't include a cooking skill tree, if that's what you're looking for, nor do they improve your alchemy skill since recipes are made with a cooking spit (and an oven, if you have Hearthfire). Your alchemy skill doesn't increase when you cook with either of these instruments because it requires an alchemy lab which makes use of some of the same ingrediants as the instruments, but for potions and poisons.

Looks like I'll go with this for now. I wonder why Bethesda added a bunch of cooking support, but no skill for it. Weird.

Because they never had it and it would just clutter up the skills and level you up too quickly.
